I was pleasantly surprised to see Google honoring Alphonse Mucha today in honor of his 150th birthday. Alphonse’s work ranges from posters to paintings to sculptures to jewelry. He also did commercial work including theatre posters for Sarah Bernhardt. Why do I care? In addition to liking his work, my mother’s maiden name is Mucha and the family was from the same region as Alphonse.
I’d love to do more tracking the genealogy in that line, but unfortunately the slavic relatives’ lines are all very limited. If anyone has any resources to share it would be greatly appreciated.
