Hitwise has announced that Bing achieved 30% share of search in March 2011.
Interestingly, in that month, traffic to sites I have access to statistics for registered 9% and 4% of referrals from Bing compared to roughly 90%+ for Google.
For my community web site, I rank high on Google for “Nazareth News”, but only about 9th on Bing, however, in Bing when I type Nazareth, “News Over Coffee” pops up in instant so it shouldn’t be a big issue as far as traffic is concerned.
The discrepancy between referrals and searches will require some additional looking into. If you have thoughts on this please share them!
