I went online tonight to reorder checks.
I had a discount code, made no changes, ordered 8 books for roughly $35.00.
I took free shipping, hit next and saw a total bill of over $70.00.
Turns out some protection plan was opted-in for me and handling was close to $20.
If you have to trick your customers into paying more for things they don’t want and to charge excessive handling fees to off-set a ‘discount’ you gave for reordering, you need to rethink your business model.
In this instance I reordered out of convenience, but I can guarantee I won’t be back next time.
