Life Events & Coaching

By

There are many types of life events to experience. These can be good, bad, or something in between. They could be planned and expected, or a surprise and unexpected at the time they occur.

There are known-knowns, known-unknowns, and unknown-unknowns.

A coach can help you prepare for each of them. This preparation does not come in the form of specific instruction, but instead in methods and approaches applied, and general planning related to knowns and very general planning for unknowns.

What are these knowns and unknowns?

Social, Professional, and Material tend to be three all-encompassing areas and there is overlap between them.

When you are single and get married, or married and get divorced, there are obvious adjustments such as living arrangements and financial considerations. There is planning based on the plans you have for the future.

There are also the social, mental and emotional changes that take place. And finally in either situation your routine will adjust and this may impact your diet and exercise.

Helping you understand yourself and better understanding your options along with potential emotions impacting your assessment and decision making will lead to better well-being.

Having a wider scope of what may be coming along allows you to anticipate and be prepared. This will reduce stress and anxiety.

Often, I reacted to life events and did not focus enough on planning and being prepared. This resulted in a lot of stress that could have been avoided.

Our goal in life should not be to tread water, yes it is better than drowning, but it is not nearly as beneficial as swimming.

If you want to talk about some areas that keep you up at night or make you anxious, contact me and we’ll see if coaching would be a good fit for you.
