Weekend Quandry – What to do?

By

How do you spend your weekends? Are they beneficial or detrimental?

I prefer to try to maintain consistency in my sleep each day and it has been shown to be beneficial personally. The research indicates the same.

Of course it helps if your sleep pattern is good during the week, which for many it is not. Working with a coach can help you identify the right amount of sleep for you and how best to achieve it.

With that info you can determine techniques to assist in better falling asleep and feeling more refreshed in the morning.

What to do with your day?

Like your sleep, your days shouldn’t be over or under active. Instead have a goal of having intentional, meaningful activity coupled with a loosely structured day.

Try not to have hard deadlines as these induce stress, but have enough structure that you don’t waste time on nothing.

The biggest weekend mistakes that are made are doing too much and doing too little. Doing too much further drains you and doing too little does not assist in recovery because your brain needs stimulation through challenge and novelty.

Having a coach to discuss how to balance what has to get done over the weekend with activities to assist in recovery will boost you throughout the week and help you grow mentally and physically.
