I updated many of my social media sites to include that I am “living a life well-lived.”
Sounds great right?
But what does it mean? Pretty much anything to anyone. It is extremely subjective.
I wasn’t concerned very much with what it meant to others, but I was very interested to understand what it meant to me.
I knew whatever it was, I wasn’t living it. I took a drastic step and divorced my wife of twenty plus years. It helped me, but it didn’t answer my question.
Given the extreme step I’d taken to begin living a life well-lived I set out to define what that means to me and I wrote, “A Treatise on Living a Life Well-Lived.” I also wrote, “The Structure of Being,” because it occurred to me that one must know what ‘being’ is in order to understand how a being can live a life well-lived.
Having an Interdisciplinary Degree that includes philosophy, and coursework in Positive Psychology, Well-being, and the Science of Diet and Exercise, I’ve incorporated academic and experiential knowledge into these works.
I’ve posted both on my website, Resilient Seeker, and encourage you to read them and share your feedback.
